Dr. Jack van Horssen

Jack van Horssen worked as a PhD student in our lab on the project "Heparan sulfate proteoglycans and vascular pathology in Alzheimer's disease". He completed and defended his thesis on March 4th, 2005.

His current research is focused on the identification of molecular pathways underlying impaired mitochondrial metabolism and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production in multiple sclerosis (MS) and to examine the potential of antioxidant protection to counteract oxidative stress and improve mitochondrial function.
